Mechatronics vs. Robotics

The course is structured around the following pedagogical objectives:

  • to develop an understanding of the overlapping and distinct applications of mechatronics and robotics;
  • to present the core principles of system integration in mechatronic and robotic systems;
  • to introduce core technologies such as MATLAB and Arduino for designing and controlling such systems;
  • to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application through hands-on examples.

Participants will learn to create sophisticated mechatronic and robotic systems by combining mechanical, electronic and control components. The course prepares participants for careers in automation, smart systems and robotic design.
